Scorpion: New MS Operator!

HOUSTON, July 16, 2019 – – Scorpion Oil & Gas, LLC (“Scorpion”) announced today the acquisition of eleven (11) operated crude oil and natural gas properties in the Black Warrior Basin of Mississippi and Alabama from a private independent upstream company.  “Our operated strategy has now begun.  We are pleased to announce our very first acquisition of operated assets and our team is anxious to get our hands around the wells.  We see upside in these assets and we have already identified several ways to cut costs from the operations, literally overnight.  This first deal in Mississippi will go a long way in helping us create scale around an operated asset base in a basin that is core to our strategy. In less than two months following our first acquisition, we were able to work with Oil & Gas Clearinghouse, again, to find the right operated asset acquisition. Deal discussions started off a bit smaller than the deal we closed, but with great relationships and a little ingenuity, Clearinghouse was able to create the right size deal for us. We couldn’t have done the deal without them,” said Nat J. Raggette, Founder & CEO.
