HOUSTON, March 1, 2020 – – Scorpion Oil & Gas, LLC (“Scorpion”) announced today the acquisition of ten (10) operated oil wells, two (2) operated natural gas wells and six (6) operated salt water disposal wells from a private operator who decided to exit the Black Warrior Basin. These properties will expand Scorpion’s operations across several Counties in Southern MS and has increased its daily oil and gas production approximately tenfold with the added producing wells. “When we entered Clarke County just two months ago, we immediately started looking for ways to expand operations in the area. We like scale, and three wells do not satisfy our scale appetite. Fortunately, we were able to execute a second deal with the same private operator to expand our operations in key MS Counties. We now have operations across Mississippi, from Lee and Monroe Counties in NE MS (bordering AL), to Warren County in SW MS (bordering LA) all the way to Clarke and Greene Counties in SE MS (bordering AL), and many Counties in between. We are truly thankful for the partners that we continue to meet while operating in Mississippi and beyond thankful to our banking partner, Frost Bank, for helping us pursue our dream,” commented Nat J. Raggette, Founder & CEO.
